Thank you very much for your presence at our celebration, which is to celebrate the 56 Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 2nd anniversary of our association. May I take this opportunity to thank all of you.

Over the past 2 years, the Association has been through a series of learning curves and has received great assistance and support from the Consulate General of the People Republic of China, business leaders ,other associations ,the community, the committee and members of our association.

Practically, our operations are now on the right direction.

One of the significant achievements this year was the arrangement and organisation last month in Auckland of the internationally renowned Yip’s Children Choir concert from Hong Kong.

This concert would not be such a success without your generous support and sponsorship.

The Association has maintained a very good relationship with a network of local organisation and is well connected to a good range of government offices in our homeland.

This relationship enables us to promote and harmonise the principles of our association and enables us to further develop a better understanding and communication with the wider societies and organisations in New Zealand.

Over the past decades, the economic growth of China has been phenomenal. One of its aims, in addition to its economic developments, is to promote global political and economic stability, peace and unity.

We as a Association desire to enhance and maintain our good relationship with the Peoples Republic of China and to provide beneficial services to the wider community of New Zealand.

I would now like to announce the new executive team of our association for 2005-2007.
